Brick06232012: A Man Pleases His Woman

I know that I've been on a personal crusade for Menn's (spelled correctly) Month.I must say that the reason I'm so on the topic of Manhood and all things Men is because I'm a Husband and Daddy to 3 Girls.
I'm outnumbered!
This is the way I keep myself in "Man mode".
I do this with the hopes that people have something to agree (or disagree) with when I post the things I post.I will go on to say, I also "know my place" when it comes down to the Women in my life - so, don't get it twisted.My Dad would say to me "take care of home" above all else.As a matter of fact here's my Dad here.I take it a step further and "take care of "Holmes"..Those that know me get it.Anyway, So, I went out with the ol' lady on our monthly hike.I'm the type of guy who always wants to work hard oustide of work and play hard at work (make sense?).My wife is the one who gets me to play outside...at home (that's why we have a blog called No Frills Thrills, by the way).

I have to work off this gut I got (which comes from the blog Dummy Sauce, by the way).
What I like about hiking, though, is it let's me open my mind to nature, new things and people in general.In the video, I called this hike "Vanilla-flavored activity".I notice that a lot of my people don't engage in this.NOT TO SAY NO BLACK FOLKS DO THIS...just saying I don't see my people often when I do things , such as this and other things I've done with the wife.
Disappointing.
I'm from Connecticut.A good group of people I know may consider this something "that white folks" do..and that's a shame.I see White folks ( of all diasporas (definition #3), Asians, some Latinos and the occasional black folks.Not enough for me, though.What will it take for more of my people to know that YOU DESERVE THIS!? ( ok, now I'm gonna jump off my soapbox..)
