Brick: Easter 2012: White Folks like Torrey Pines

Hello..
A while back I was hanging out with my friend/boss at his boy’s house. We got to talking about race relations, stereotypes and the like. He then went into his house and pulled out a book called What White People Like. In it , it went on into a few categories about what white folks like. One of the categories is Outside.
White people love “outside”.
I remember when I lived in Connecticut, I would think of how crazy white people were to bunjee jump, white water raft, etc. Now, mind you, I went to an all boys college prep school that was predominantly white. Prior to that I lived in Crookston, Minnesota at a time where MY family was the only black family in the town ( I don’t know how it is now). My point being- I’ve been around my share of white folks. Today, though, was an eye opener.
See, my wife is what some blacks would call a wannabe. She loves to do things that white folks do. She doesn’t want to do them for the sake of being a “white girl”, per se.
White people enjoy life. I saw that today walking in Torrey Pines.
For Easter, we took in the sights of what God has created. We hiked. Hiked. Hiked. Drank. Breathed. Hiked some more. I didn’t see that much of my folks there. I instantly thought- I need to blog this. Not that this blog is gonna get a whole lot of my people hiking. Just wanted to write my thoughts on it.
I was able to get some great pictures out of it. Cleared my mind. Spent time with my ladies. Exercised. Planned. Rationed. It was great!

So, now, this is gonna be the monthly thing. The Torrey Pines Hike. I'm hoping it will kill the belly I get from doing this.
all pictures were taken with my phone.So...shut up!

Yohoooo!!
