How to Motivate The Prince of Procrastination

December 5:

I woke up to this today...I love this brother! Him and John Chow get me hyped!!

I plan on letting these guys know I share these videos..one day...You know me by now...

Anyway, my daily routine consists of waking up around 2 1/2 hours before work and:

• Stretching 
• Doing 2 sets of Push ups, Crunches and leg lifts/Bicycle kicks/reverse crunches
• A shower
• Breakfast, while making lunch
• Checking all emails from my different accounts
• Watching a John Chow video or Dame Dash/Hip Hop Motivation video
• Getting dressed
• Walking to work

As I walk to work, I think of what's in store me for there.I also think of ways to progress in the businesses I'm developing. I'm not even thinking about the 3 miles I'm walking.

This routine has actually gotten me to WANT to get things done.I envision my self doing better. I look at cars I'll purchase.Homes I want to purchase.Areas to live.

Sometimes I realize that when I'm sitting in the War Room (my room/office at home), just sitting there trying to think of things can be stifling. If I get out of that zone, ideas flow freely.When I do housework, after being reminded of doing it over and over as us fellas do, I start to think of things I can do to further my endeavors.More products. More ways to tackle current issues.

With Dame and John, I get to hear/see another perspective.I get to see what worked for them and why. It's better to find someone doing better than you at what you are trying to do, so you can be challenged. In a way, these guys are in my Mastermind Group.

I also like to watch Shark Tank! Whoa!! Now , THAT'S TELEVISION! I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!!

I like how these ordinary, everyday entrepreneur folks present ideas to the Millionaire/Billionaire"sharks" and the "sharks" breakdown the prospects business ideas. The sharks come off as people that know everything about any business. that's where I'd like to be. A Know-It-All in business. I know about various structures of business ( i.e. Sole Proprietor, C Corporations, S Corporations, LLCs), but not about various industries.

It's obvious they/ their teams have done their research. ( I need a team)

I see being a TRUE entrepreneur you have to be this way. You must know all there is to know about what you want to do.No half stepping.

Anyway, my point is a morning routine, Dame Dash, John Chow, and Shark Tank, are what motivate me.

How Dare You Tell ME What To Do!!

December 3:

So... I was approached with ANOTHER MLM type situation dealing with Travel!

I'm thinking about doing it. If for nothing else, to at least learn some internet marketing.

An old buddy of mine, who I'll call "D", came to me about it...after a week of Cat and Mouse and Phone Tag. We spoke tonight and he had me watch a video. The video had its “how you make money with the system " breakdown...testimonials of people who made money...you know, the usual. Then, I spoke with him a little bit. He pitched how he wanted a team to get this going, stroked my ego a little bit...then came the whammy...a three way (pause) conference call with HIS mentor.

This is where it got interesting. He said the same things that were in the videos and what the goal was. Very convincing. The words that got my ears perking up were, " If you sign up today..."

Wow!

But...

THAT's the key to marketing a product!

 “Join today!”” Get in on the ground floor!”” You don't want to miss out!”

I definitely couldn't be mad at how he presented it. I KNEW what he was doing. Although, he apologized for delivering this way, I told him not to apologize (in the back of my mind I was learning how to MARKET!!)

As potential customers we get sensitive, even offended, when we are approached this way. 

Not I.

 I knew what he was doing AND learned a valuable lesson in it. The question is, now, will I do it?

I got my own stuff going on in life.I'm tryingt o spend money on gifts...I got bills to pay... I want to get started in January!

Yet..

This is the Christmas season.This IS a time for people to travel.This IS a time for people to spend money.


As a matter of fact, just yesterday I got an email from John Chow on that very thing:

I'm a BIG follower of him. I watch his videos EVERYDAY to motivate my self to do this.Around (5:45) in the video he starts to talk about preparing now to make money online and NOT at the beginning of the year. What I took from that was STOP setting a date to start something.Do it NOW.

So, when talking to the Mentor, that was the angle he tapped. I should get in this now so that when it gets large, I'll be among those who got in at the beginning of the opportunity.I threw in how I had bills to pay, shopping to do and he still kept that angle going.

NIIIIICE!

Time will tell..I do want to do it but I got some money invested in another project, besides this one. Wanna see? Go here and then go here. Make sure to pick up one for yourself!

I'll keep you posted on what happens with the travel venture. You can bet , though, if/when I do it..YOU WILL KNOW!

Thanks for the support.I see my views are increasing and my Facebook ads are working! I finally invested in a small campaign to get the ball rolling. I've been gaining "likes" at the Facebook page . The next plan is to fine tune my audience, so that I can fine tune my ads to be more effective. I'd rather have loyal followers/ readers than just a bunch of "likes".

Selling Through Amazon: What Should I Sell?

Welcome Folks!

So, as promised, I'm gonna talk a little bit about Amazon Selling. I've had an Amazon store for quite some time now, but haven't done a thing with it.

Just research.

• I've bought items for the store and never put them in
• I've read blogs and articles about it
• I've considered buying books to learn more 
• I've watched YouTube videos about the subject :

Some "experts" say groceries are good to make money on Amazon.I went on that notion...until this video from Picking Profits:

 

Okay...

Then I wanted to make sure I got both sides of the coin.I looked up the other side and found Dollar Moves:

This got me PUMPED!!

I went a step further and looked into items to start with.That's when I bumped into Suzanne Wells.
Apparently, she also deals with eBay selling, which I've already done. I'm into Amazon, now, though.

She had this to say :

Hmm...sounds a little doable. I wouldn't sell the EXACT same products, I'm sure many people saw this video and did just that.

I figured you'd want to know what I've been dealing with, though. I , personally, get emails for the Amazon Selling Machine, all the time. Although it seems to be touted as a good program, I'm looking at ways to get information without joining some type of club/membership.This is how I'm doing it. Looking up videos that give some basics and seeing how it works.I'll come up with my own program. Not to put anyone down.

This is just how I wanna do it.

This is part of the retail arm of the Inkland Empire being built. Like I said, I've done eBay before and it was okay. Nothing bad to say about them.I'm seeing, though, that Amazon is the way to go, OVER eBay, at the moment.

I feel good about this because this is ONLY word of Mouth. No ads.No paid advertising of any kind. I will be doing that, of course, because I'd like MORE views, but THIS is GREAT!

Multilevel Marketing ( MLM)

I'm a reader of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series of books written by Robert Kiyosagi. One thing that struck me about his thoughts/ ways to make money was that he endorses MLMs. 

You know what those are.

Picture this ( It's happen to me a lot). Your with family and/ or friends at a gathering and a loved one asks you about your life. They ask you are you satisfied with where you are in life.Financially. They tell you in their most excited way that they have this business that they are part of and you should be involved. Once you show interest, they invite you to a meeting in the middle of the week, usually, that you can learn about this opportunity. They say it will be fun/interesting.

You go.

You see people of all types at the "meeting'. It turns out to be some seminar about ways to make money with a program they are behind.They give you stats and different philosophies of making money with the program. They show you the money part FIRST. Then they show you the cost of the program LAST.

Anyway, I'm a follower of John Chow and I got an email of his talking about a program that makes money. now, the difference between him and people I know is that HE has made money. You can see it. It may be fake, but I doubt it. i figure he may be on to something.

The reason, I'm bringing this up is because I'm in its trial period. I'm looking at adding it to the Empire. I'll expose it another time, maybe.

You might be saying, " Damn, why doesn't he stick to one thing at a time?" 

I TRULY don't believe that that HAS to be the way to do things. That CAN'T be true for hustlers. I tend to think of myself as a Hustler. One who is documenting HOW he hustles for other hustlers ( i.e. this blog).

With that being said, another motivating hustler to me is Dame Dash. He calls this the " Octupus model".

See? I believe in the tactics of successful people. He even mentioned Russell Simmons following this tactic in his own way.

I think I'll end it there. a lot of material to soak in...
